Bryan County Sheriff's Sergeant William Wayne Indicted by Grand Jury: Arson and Criminal Trespass

Updated: Dec 13, 2023

In an effort to shield this man's badge and maintain his position in law enforcement, the Bulloch County Court system, despite a guilty verdict for Arson and Criminal Trespass, attempted to downplay these charges, almost making them appear as if they never occurred! Elite Deception Media's pursuit of transparency and accountability in the Bryan County Sheriff's Office has faced staunch resistance, notably from Bryan County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs Investigator/Public Records Officer Dennis Davis, who flat-out denied processing our FOIA request records, and Chief Mark Crowe, who issued warnings insinuating that we would create enemies within law enforcement if we persisted. Despite these challenges, we have uncovered court records revealing that a once-trusted Sergeant of the Bryan County Sheriff's Office is a convicted arsonist!

Sergeant William Wayne of the Bryan County Sheriffs Office

Let's be frank; the Bulloch County Court system bears equal responsibility here, as this is a charge and situation the public deserved to be informed about. The fact that a man who committed arson while employed by the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office, using a Molotov cocktail, is currently employed by the Bryan County Sheriff's Office raises serious concerns about our safety in Bryan County. Is Sergeant William Wayne the only convicted arsonist on the force, and what other skeletons are hidden in the officers' closets? Elite Deception Media has unearthed multiple records that would disqualify several officers from holding positions of power in Bryan County.

Yes, these offenses were committed on February 3rd, 2004. This officer was and has been allowed to not only continue working in law enforcement, but has also been allowed to progress through the ranks in the Bryan County Sheriffs Office. We want to know what you think! Do you believe William Wayne Should still be allowed to walk around carrying a badge now knowing that this man has committed a criminal offense that would have placed any other citizen in a prison for potentially years? Is this a clear case of protecting that thin blue line that officers live by?

Is Officer William Wayne a Tyrant or a Constitutional Guardian?

  • Constitutional Guardian

  • Tyrant

So, here's the breakdown: we have a convicted arsonist who, at the time of criminal offenses (Trespassing and Arson), was employed by the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office. This explains why these documents were concealed under the co-defendant's name in the cases. When you search for records under William Wayne, nothing surfaces until you search by the co-defendant's name. This implies that not only did the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office attempt to hide the fact that one of their officers engaged in criminal behavior, but they also provided him with a second chance to abuse his power by whitewashing the records through the Bulloch County Court system, aiming to protect his career.

William Wayne Plea Deal Court Transcript for arson charges

Last time I checked, law enforcement was supposed to protect citizens, not shield other government officials.

The Bryan County Sheriff's Office continues to support William Wayne, even though if he were an ordinary citizen and not an officer, he would likely have been charged with a felony. Criminal records are deeply concerning for officers, as they raise questions about their credibility. Regardless of whether he fulfilled all conditions with the court, he should not be permitted to wear a badge, and this situation demands public attention.

Should Officer Wayne be allowed to hold a position as a Peace Officer In the United States?

  • Yes, he should be allowed to be a peace officer!

  • No, this Officer does not deserve to wear a badge

The following video will raise further questions regarding the credibility of Sergeant William Wayne. In this footage, Officer Wayne is seen approaching the driver's side of the vehicle with what appears to be a small bag in his hand. As he has the driver step out, there seems to be a moment where he drops the bag, potentially containing drug residue, into the vehicle. He then proceeds to look around and acts surprised upon discovering it. Stay tuned, as this story on Officer Wayne appears to be just beginning! We will continue to bring you the latest updates on this story as soon as they become available!

I won't even get started on the fact there was a juvenile present during the commission of this crime!

I mean you can see in the court transcripts that he was ordered to pay over 6 grand for the damages to the vehicle he torched! How is this man still allowed to carry a badge! I believe he deserves a second chance as a human being but his days of carrying a badge should be long over!

It's crazy how you can be denied a job for failing a drug test, but a cop can still continue being a cop after being convicted of ARSON.

Make it make sense.
